Several suggested hotels are below:

  • Please call the hotel on +61396660000 and say that you are attending a workshop at "The University of Melbourne", the rate should be $125 per night (between the 13th and 16th of March).
• Mecure Welcome, Melbourne City

Otherwise, any accommodation in the CBD of Melbourne, with easy access to Swanston Street will allow easy transport to the workshop. Reasonable accommodation should be around $90-$140 AUD.

To and from the airport

Getting from Melbourne Tullamarine airport to the city is relatively easy, and takes around 30 minutes; you can take either the bus or a taxi.

Bus

The Skybus runs from the airport to the city around every 20 minutes (times vary over the day).

A return ticket is $26AUD, one way is $16AUD

The bus runs to Southern Cross Station (see the map above), from there you can take a free skybus shuttle bus to your hotel.

Taxi

Taxi ranks are located on the ground level of the airport at the front of the airport.

A taxi ride to the city should cost around $60AUD

Note: You should only take taxi's from the taxi ranks at the front of the airport, do not accept taxis from drivers who approach you in the airport.
